This is an exciting issue for us. Not only do we have some outstanding editorial features this month – Winter Getaways and Master Suites – we also have some exceptional featured properties in this issue.
As many of you may know, this issue is one of my personal favorites as it has extra distribution at one of the premier, internationally-recognized automotive events: Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale. With this extra exposure, we would be remiss if we didn’t showcase some fantastic Arizona properties.

The West’s Most Western Town
By Alyssa Mammano
“Initially purchased as farmland and developed by its namesake, Scottsdale, Arizona originated from 640 acres of irrigated desert terrain. Winfield Scott, a notable U.S. Army Chaplain, envisioned a city of wealth and affluence when he placed a down payment on the property that would later become downtown Scottsdale. Scott enlisted many of the settlement’s first inhabitants, who were an educated and cultured people. Development of the scenic location was quickly underway shortly after its 1888 acquisition. Only eight years later a public school system was chartered. In the early 1900s, a culture of artistry flourished as the newly established community celebrated local writers and creatives. Soon after, a tourism industry burgeoned with the erection of the colony’s first resorts: the Ingleside Inn in 1909 and the Jokake Inn in 1922.” View Editorial

Winter Get Aways
By Alyssa Mammano
“To escape the winter or to embrace it? That is the question.
“In our home state of Florida, where the offices of the duPont REGISTRY reside, our Floridian blood runs a bit thinner. During these winter months, when the temperatures drop below our favorable 78 degrees Fahrenheit, winter jackets, hats and gloves begin to make more frequent appearances. The air conditioning is switched over to heat and we look forward to cozying up by the fireplace and planning our (deeper) southern escape.” View Editorial

Cozy amenities, convenient technology and ample space comprise an environment to which you will both want to retreat each evening.” View Editorial
